Another feature set the Zenbook apart, is the "instant-on" time of just two seconds to boot from sleep. This comes courtesy of the laptop's SSD, which takes advantage of the latest SATA 3 hard disk interface to provide a maximum transfer speed of 6GB/s .Shih also promised the battery would provide up to 7 hours (roughly 3.4 hours of streaming video and 3.25 hours of game play) ,and could remain in standby for up to two weeks.Shih notes that "Near-instant on and the ability to sit in standby for 14 days is part of Asus’s goal to make laptops more like smartphones."
